In my reading this morning I came across a passage I’ve read dozens of times before. For some reason, it jumped out at me as something to share – so maybe it’s something you need to hear today, who knows.
Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” John 6:35
Having spent a few years in utter poverty as a child, then living on the streets for a time in my teenage years, I know what it’s like to go hungry. Having no idea where your next meal is coming from changes your perspective on everything.
Knowing you’ll never go hungry again, never thirst, never not have your deepest, truest needs met changes your perspective on everything as well.
How does knowing this change the way you view the world around you today? If you embrace the truth that God has your back – and if He’s for you, no one can stand against you – what might you do today?
What mountain will you climb?
What Goliath will you defeat?
How will you make sure today is the first day of your new life?
